This map by Eugene Turner, called "Life in Los Angeles" shows how wealth is distributed, how many people are unemployed, stress levels and the proportion of white people in Los Angeles. Each category is subdivided into high, medium and low. The symbols for theses categories are simplified faces. I think I liked the simplicity of it most of all... it's very easy to read and reflects Turner's point that the majority of LA is populated by white people, and that the areas populated mostly by other ethnicities are more poor and as a result are more stressed. Also, I think the clean lines of the work also help with its readability
