Ruff Ride!!!!

Last week I finally... kinda got my image sorted! o be honest I'm still wavering between the original photograph I took as part of my summer project, and an "illustrator-ed", overly faffy version of it. I like both but I'm finding it more interesting working with the original photograph colours in photoshop as opposed to the duotone version I did in illustrator.

I was ridiculously happy when I worked out how to extract the different colour channels from a photograph... it took me 2 whole days of getting very stressed this weekend... previously I'd been attempting to manipulate my illustrator images... so I worked out, all by myself (again so impressed with myself) that you have to split the channels so that each colour has it's own independent file.... then change it from greyscale to duotone, but then use the monotone settings in the mode menu and choose pure cyan, magenta, yellow and black for it's respective colour file... You can see why I was impressed at working this out (particularly as my photoshop skills are erm.... well... crap) :D.... anyway here are the results from that er.... struggle
